YEARLINGS
We offer a package to suit all prospective owners, whether you want racing action right now or prefer to follow the journey of younger horses as they learn to be a racehorse, Apollo offer it all...
Apollo aim to satisfy the needs of all our clients. The journey from purchase as a yearling up until the horse is ready to race can be an extremely satisfying one. Apollo offer you the opportunity to get as close to the action as possible and follow your yearling through every step of its journey to becoming a racehorse. If you like the idea of this, one of our yearling packages is perfect for you.
-
Your horse will be purchased from one of the prestigious yearling sales during the autumn and will be selected by our expert team of bloodstock specialists, data analysts and trainers all working together to find us the next superstar racehorse.

-
As your horse is being purchased as a yearling and would have never been ridden before it will undergo a "breaking in" process once joining our trainer from the sales.

-
This a fascinating process that involves spectacular horsemanship and is always a joy to watch.
-
Your horse will then progress onto cantering and galloping work building towards its first race at the start of the racing season!

-
Our yearling packages will run over an 18-month period and include all costs and fees in one single upfront payment (alternative payment structures available upon request).

-
This includes the purchase price of the horse, all training and racing fees and all administrative costs. You will have nothing more to pay after joining Apollo.
Below is an example roadmap of what you can expect in an 18-month package from Apollo...
ROAD MAP
Our specialist team will hand select a horse from one of the prestigious sale events that run through October/November. You will be kept informed and involved throughout the whole process.
As January approaches and your horse starts to do more regular fast work we will host open mornings on the gallops. This will include breakfast with the trainer to talk plans for the year ahead with your horse. We will also hold a vote to choose a name for your horse.
November draws the curtains on the U.K turf racing calendar and opens the door to the All-Weather season. As you own your horse on an 18 month term we have the opportunity to decide if we are going to give the horse a rest over the winter or continue to race. This will be decided on a case by case basis and we will do what we feel will maximise the horses re-sale value.
The prestigious July sales at Tattersalls in Newmarket is where we will sell your horse at the end of its term with us. Providing your horse has had a successful time under Apollo we are hopeful the horse will retain value and be sure that the experience has provided you with lots of fun along the way. A payment will be made to the stake holder at the end of the term and will include your share of the resale price of the horse and payment of the equivalent share of all prize money won by the horse whilst under Apollo.
Your horse will enter into training with one of our hand selected trainers. As the horse is being purchased as a 'yearling' and never been ridden, our trainer will take your horse as a blank canvas novice and teach it all it needs to know to succeed as a racehorse. Regular stable visits can be arranged and regular photo and videos updates will let you join the horse on its journey.
March brings the beginning of the flat racing season! Our aim is to campaign your horse to maximise its value and hopefully reach all of the top festivals such as Royal Ascot, York, Goodwood, Newmarket and more. On average a sharp two-year old type would typically race 6 times during its first year of racing and provide you with many fun days out during the racing season.
January welcomes a new year and our focus now is how we can strategically maximise the value of your horse. We will work with our trainer to hand select the most appropriate races to target keeping the upcoming sales and your investment in mind. All of your usual ownership benefits will continue such as raceday badges, jockey and trainer meet and greets, open mornings on the gallops and regular updates.
